Category Description

Participation


Participation is open to young people studying for a qualification in vocational education who have been born in 1991 or after. The vocational basic degree training refers to an education that will lead to a basic degree, or that is a preliminary training in an institute or as an apprentice.

Category Description


The competition tasks of this category are based on the requirements of level 3 (on a scale of 1-3) as described in the curriculum-based training of a vocational degree.
The category is based on the 120 study point credit degree program in the Baking study programme, and for confectioner /pastry cook. The emphasis in this category is on the baking of layer cakes and pastries, and the baking of special products.
The confection/pastry cook bakes bread, pastries, cakes, and all kinds of products according to the customers' wishes. The preparation of basic products and development of new products are part of the tasks of the confectioner/pastry cook.
The competition tasks are comprised of tasks given in advance and tasks given at the competition venue.
